According to Wikipedia, Fort-Mahon is a French commune situated on the coast of the English Channel and endowed with a sandy beach and massive sand dunes,
For me, it was a name found in the title of one of the photographs of Harry Gruyaert in is book "Rivages": "Beach of the town of Fort Mahon, bay of the Somme river, Picardie region, France"
Some years after, I was actually working on a project in Picardy and we needed tp make some kind of communication document. The person in charge of communication brought me a layout with Gruyaert's photo and told candidly that she had found a nice picture.
